There are only three simple ingredients in sourdough bread: water, salt, and flour. By mixing together water and flour the process of natural fermentation begins. It’s truly magic!

HELLO, MY NAME IS NATASHA.

I grew up in Siberia and have Ukrainian roots. Working with my hands is something I have always enjoyed. My hobbies are gardening, knitting, crocheting, and cooking. During the pandemic I became interested in learning how to make bread. Implementing my skills and knowledge by baking every day became my real passion.

As a beginner I was getting information through social media and books. I was hungry for answers to my countless questions, until I met bread guru Addie @breadstalker who changed my vision of the bread making process.

I love baking sourdough bread, because the process of mixing water, salt, and flour magically becomes this beautiful, tasty loaf of bread! The process is so satisfying, and keeps my soul very happy.

This baking journal was created to provide beginners with helpful information about working with sourdough. There are basic techniques, recipes, and taking care of the starter.

I am inviting you to join me in this journey and become one of the baking at home enthusiasts! I hope you’ll learn something new that will improve your skills.
